Please note that the Spring Carpenter Development Program at the Carpenter Millwright College in Sackville, Nova Scotia has been temporarily postponed.
This pre-employment program is designed to prepare participants to enter the construction industry as first year apprentice carpenters. It has also been approved for 360 hours towards Apprenticeship.
Successful completion of this program will give graduates basic knowledge of residential construction, foundations, and framing. Also, they will have the ability to expand into other facets of the trade (interior finish, exterior finish), light commercial construction, interior systems, residential renovation and repairs.
This course will provide knowledge in construction safety, building sciences, construction materials, and blueprint reading.
